The new pistol bays and parking area are finally finished. There are 6 new bays, allowing for shooting events to be held all in one designated area. 900 pounds of grass seed for the floor of each bay (9 acres total) was kindly donated by Dick Huvaere of Dick Huvaere’s Richmond Chrysler Dodge Jeep in Richmond. If you’re in Richmond, stop in and thank him! Norm Wendell started this project over 3 years ago, and I took it over this last May to put the finishing touches on it. All the heavy work you see below was done by Capozzo & Sons Excavating www.capozzoandsons.com. The parking area South of the 200yd. range has also been filled with limestone making it a much much more useble surface. In addition, Tom Goral has spent the last several weeks dragging a rake behind the Kabota to try and break up the larger chunks of clay and to remove the bigger rocks. We still have a little more cleanup to do, but the results show what a lot of hard work can accomplish. I would also like to thank the BWSA Board of Directors for their support (and money!). We never could have done it without you! Updates to follow... Jim Hanus - BWSA #2264 8/17/10 Click the panoramas!
