I have been using it exclusively for 2 years for my firearms and my son, who shoots for University of Tennessee, uses it to maintain his rifles. I'm a believer in Gunzilla. Last summer I procured a "dealer" relationship with Don in order to offer this product to our shooters as well as to maintain BWSA's Smallbore rifles. It then seemed logical to try turning this into a fundraiser for our Juniors. BWSA Jr Smallbore Invitational/FONRA fundraiser - Click here for more info and photos
Our first ever Jr Invitational/FONRA fundraiser event happened on 2/20/2010 and it was a such a success that we are turning this into a yearly
event! Shooters from area clubs supported their sport by enjoying a friendly competition while raising money to help grow the shooting community.
On Saturday February 20 we started with a mini-prone match. This consisted of two 20 shot stages on A-17 targets in 20 minutes per individual.
Then we took a lunch break to enjoy the very nice array of food and drink that volunteers donated to help raise funds. Scores were totaled and
awards were presented to the top three shooters in each of three age brackets (10-12,13-15,16-18).
After lunch, we picked teams by drawing names out of a hat and held a mini-skirmish (2 timed stages/team). In the first stage the teams had to see
how fast they could break 2" tiles. The second stage had them breaking medium dog biscuits. Skirmish scores Prone scores
Along with our own kids, shooters attended from both DSC and OCSC.
Everyone had a good time and we were able to raise $237 for The Friends of The NRA. Some of our shooters will present this amount to the
BWFONRA charity banquet on May 6th. Our success has encouraged us to turn this into a yearly event!
